Microsoft Intune Adds Copilot-Assisted Device Troubleshooting

Microsoft Intune is adding Copilot-powered device troubleshooting in preview. Admins can describe an issue in natural language and Copilot will surface relevant device data, policy conflicts, and recommended remediation steps.

Microsoft has launched a preview of Copilot-assisted device troubleshooting in Microsoft Intune. Admins can now describe a device issue in plain English — such as 'why can't this device access corporate Wi-Fi?' — and Copilot will analyze the device's compliance status, applied policies, and event logs to surface likely causes and recommended fixes.

Available in preview for tenants with Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses.

What Copilot Can Help With

  • Natural Language Device Issue Queries
  • Policy Conflict Detection
  • Recommended Remediation Steps

Enable the Copilot in Intune preview via the Intune Admin Center > Tenant Administration > Copilot.

Our Take

This is the right call, but Microsoft is underselling how disruptive it'll be. Users have built years of muscle memory around that Chat / Teams split — expect a wave of support tickets the week it lands. Get ahead of it with a quick communication to your users before it shows up, not after.

Bottom Line
Good change, bad rollout timing for unprepared orgs. Send a user comm now.
